1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of trackingdeals.co.za (the “website”) and the quotes we arrange through it (the “services”). trackingdeals.co.za is a trade name of OneCompare (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the website or the services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2. What we do, and what we don’t

  • We compare vehicle tracker and dashcam deals and arrange the one you choose. The tracking or dashcam company supplies and installs the device, and your contract, its price and its terms are between you and that company.
  • Prices shown on the website and in the quote form are the deals available when you ask. The company confirms your contract before it is installed, and its contract terms apply.
  • Information on this website about vehicle theft, hijacking and built-in tracking is general information from the sources named on each page. It is not advice about your insurance: your insurer decides whether you need a tracker, and which one.
  • You are under no obligation to take up any deal.

3. Who may use the services

You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a contract in South Africa, or authorised to act for the business you represent, and you must give information that is true, complete and up to date.

4. Your obligations

  • Do not impersonate anyone or use someone else’s information without their permission.
  • Do not use the website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
  • Do not try to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems.
  • Do not copy, frame or reproduce the website or its quote form, or access it with bots or scrapers, without our written consent (ordinary search-engine indexing excepted).

5. Personal information

How we collect, use and protect your personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. If you give us someone else’s details, such as an emergency contact, you confirm that they have agreed.

6. Intellectual property

The website and its content belong to OneCompare (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. Logos and trademarks of other companies shown on the website belong to their owners. You may use the website for your own, non-commercial purposes; you may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit its content without our written consent.

7. Third-party companies and links

We are not responsible for the products, contracts or websites of tracking companies, dashcam suppliers, insurers or any other third party. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

8. Availability

We try to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it at any time.

9. Liability

The website is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or the services, and our total liability for direct loss is limited to R10,000. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002. We are not liable for anything a tracking company, dashcam supplier or insurer does or fails to do.

10. Electronic communication

You agree that we may communicate with you electronically (email, SMS or WhatsApp) and that this meets any requirement for communication in writing. Ticking a consent box or pressing a button to accept on the website is your electronic signature under section 13 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

11. Complaints

Please send any complaint to legal@onecompare.co.za. We will acknowledge it within five business days and work to resolve it. Complaints about a device or its contract may also be taken up with the company that supplied it.

12. General

South African law governs these terms, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. We may update these terms; the version on this page when you use the website applies.
